About Me

I am a Design student for HKDI. My major subject is Fashion Design. I awarded the Outstanding Visual Arts Student Award from THE 10TH YOUTH VISUAL ART EXHIBITION 2018.

"I built my work from within instead of satisfying a demand for sexualized clothing." the quote from Rei Kawakubo have planted a seed in my mind that never betray your heart when designing. For long-term, I would like to design more fashion which is come from my unique style.

I am Macy Mak – a Fashion design student in Hong Kong Design Institute and Amsterdam Fashion Institute Atelier 2020. I am passionate about using the craftsmanship or technique I have been given to make a difference.

Fashion Design is an art experiment, to converge aesthetics, trend, own style on every human. It is not only a step in designing a necessity but also telling the story behind a place or designer and exploiting an unrestrained brand new design form. Besides that, creating and exploring a design which is solving problem and optimizing human life is an errand for designer. It is my pleasure to be your ‘storyteller’.
